Control
Control Accessories
The Control Subsystem enables a human operator to maneuver the robot. Commands are issued through joysticks and buttons on the Transmitter, and sent via radio signal to the Receiver on the robot. In this way, the robot can be controlled through a combination of manual and autonomous methods.

75 MHz Transmitter & Receiver
This kit includes a VEX 75Mhz Transmitter and Receiver. Provides the radio control link which allows human operators direct control of a VEX robot.
- 6 Input Channels (4-analog, 2-digital).
- 75Mhz, multi-frequency via RF crystals. 10 Channels.
- Two transmitters can connect to one robot.
75 MHz Crystals (3-options)
The transmitter's frequency module and the matching receiver crystal determine the control frequency for a robot.
- Run multiple robots simultaneously.
- A "must" for competitions.
- Crystals come in pairs, one for the Tx, one for the Rx.
75MHz Receiver Accessories
The Antenna Tube and holder help protect the Receiver's antenna and keep it away from metal. The cable connects the Receiver to the Microcontoller.
- (1) Antenna Tube
- (1) Antenna Holder
- (1) Receiver Cable
75 MHz Signal Splitter
Drive up to (6) PWM devices, including VEX Continuous Rotation Motors & VEX Servos. Takes the signal output from the VEX Receiver Module.
- No Programming Needed
- Up to (6) Motors or Servos
- Uses standard VEX 7.2V Batteries
75 MHz Transmitter Antenna
You can now replace the VEX Transmitter Antenna. Replace your bent or broken antenna for better reception.
- Replace bent or broken antennas.
- Works with 75 MHz Transmitter.
Coiled Handset Cable
Put your robot on tether and start testing. At VEX Competitions, you can not test your robot on the Practice Fields unless you have a Tether Cable - no crystal operations are allowed.
- Connects the 75 MHz Transmitter to the Microcontroller.
- 18" long unextended. 12 feet long stretched.
- No crystals needed.
75MHz Tether Cable
Put your robot on tether and start testing. At VEX Competitions, you can not test your robot on the Practice Fields unless you have a Tether Cable.
- Connects the Transmitter to the Receiver.
- 18 feet long.
- No cyrstals needed.
75MHz Receiver
Commands are entered through the joysticks and buttons on the RF Transmitter, and sent through FM radio waves to the RF Receiver module.
- Works with the 75MHz Transmitter.
- Sends commands to the Microcontroller.
- Up to two per robot.
VEXnet USB Adapter Key
The VEXnet USB Adapter Key provides 802.11b/g wireless to the next generation VEX Robotics products.
- Works with the VEXnet Upgrade.
- Works with the VEX Cortex Microcontroller.
- Works with the VEX ARM9 Microcontroller.
LCD Display
Use the VEX LCD Display to recieve real-time feedback from your robot to perform live debugging. View multiple stored program configurations and select between them or provide additional user-input to your robot.
Note: Requires VEX programming software sold separately.
USB A-A Cable
Cable for connecting VEXnet components to sync and run in tether mode. Includes (1) 6ft VEX USB A-A Cable.
- Works with the VEXnet Upgrade
- Works with the VEX Cortex Microcontroller.
- Works with the VEX ARM9 Microcontroller (available soon).
VEXnet Backup Battery Holder
The VEXnet Backup Battery allows you to mount and connect (1) 9V battery. This battery keep VEXnet alive when the main battery fails.
- Works with the VEXnet Upgrade
- Works with the VEX Cortex-M3 Microcontroller.
- Works with the VEX ARM9 Microcontroller (available soon).
Motor Controller 29
The Motor Controller 29 goes between a 3-wire Motor Port on a VEX Microcontroller and a VEX 2-Wire Motor. It uses a standard PWM signal to provide motor control.
