Advanced Gear Kit

This kit contains several new gear types designed to help you build advanced mechanical systems. The rack gear will mount on any Vex metal component, mesh with any Vex gear to create linear motion systems. The worm gears allow users to create very high reduction gearing in a small package; these gears will also resist "back driving" which may be useful in some applications. The kit comes with several bevel gears which allow designers to transfer motion "around corners"; you can change the axis of motion by 90 degrees. These bevel gears can also be used with the differential frame to build a differential. This can be utilized to create more efficient "car style" drivetrains. More Info

6-32 Stainless Steel 1/4 Screw 50 pack

You have asked for it and now replacement 6-32 x 1/4 inch Stainless Steel Screws are available. Excessive use and high torque conditions can lead to stripped screw heads. This 50 pack of stainless steel screws are just what the robot enthusiast needs. These screws are used with the Vex Motor, Vex Servo and Vex Advanced Gear Kit.

Worm Gearbox Bracket

This Bracket is designed with the Vex Worm Gear in mind.  Use standard Vex products (not included) to make the design/application of the Vex Worm Gear a simpler task. There are 2 Vex Worm Gear Brackets included in this kit.

Rack Gearbox Bracket

This Bracket is designed with the Vex Rack Gear in mind.  An application of this bracket and the rack and pinion gear uses the pinion gear to rotate the rack gear which will in turn slide linearly using the Vex Linear Slide Pack. This allows users to create linear motion. Use standard Vex products (not included) to make the design/application of the Vex Rack Gear a simpler task. There are 2 Vex Rack Gear Brackets included in this kit.

Bevel Gearbox Bracket

This Bracket is designed with the Vex Bevel Gear in mind.  Use standard Vex products (not included) to make the design/application of the Vex Bevel Gear a simpler task. The design/application sections shows 4 different pictures using the Bevel Gearbox Bracket. There are 2 Vex Bevel Gear Brackets included in this kit.

Rack/Pinion Gear Pack

This pack contains only the Rack and Pinion Gears and Mounting Screws from the Advanced Gear Kit. This pack includes:  24 ea. Rack Gears, 6 ea. 12-tooth pinions Gears, and 48 ea. 6-32 x 1/4 in. Screws.

Worm Wheel/Gear Pack

This pack contains only the Worm Gears and Worm Wheels from the Advanced Gear Kit. This pack includes:  12 ea. Worm Gears, 12 ea. Worm Wheels.

Bevel Gear Pack

This pack contains only the Bevel Gears from the Advanced Gear Kit. This pack includes:  12 ea. Bevel Gears.

Diff Gear Pack

This pack contains only the Diff Bevel Gears and Diff Brackets from the Advanced Gear Kit. This pack includes:  9 ea. Diff Bevel Gears and 3 ea Diff Bracket.
