Ordering Instructions

Getting a quote on your order from vexrobotics.com is easy:


  1. 1. Log in to your vexrobotics.com account or create a new one if you don't have an existing account.
  2. 2. Add the items you want to order to your cart.
  3. 3. Proceed to checkout either from your cart or from the links on the top right corner of any page.
  4. 4. Select your Billing and Ship To Addresses.
  5. 5. Select a Shipping Method.
  6. 6. On the Payment Information tab, select "Generate Quote".
  7. 7. Review your order. If everything is correct, click the "Generate Quote" button to receive your quote.

You will receive an email that details your quote and provides a link back to vexrobotics.com to order your quote. You can access all of your quotes and order by logging into your account dashboard.

Note: Quotes are valid for 60 days, after which prices, SKUs, and product availability may vary. Quotes do not guarantee product availability at the time of purchase.

Option 1

Ordering via Online PO (1 business day processing time)

If Online PO processing has not been enabled on your account, send an Email to sales@vex.com casales@vexrobotics.com stating that you’d like it to be set up. Make sure to include the Email address associated with your vexrobotics.com account, as it is required for Online PO processing.

Once your account has been approved for Online POs, ordering is just as easy as placing a standard web order!

  1. 1. Log in to your vexrobotics.com account.
  2. 2. Add the items you wish to order to your cart.
  3. 3. Proceed to checkout from your cart or from the links in the top right corner of any page.
  4. 4. On the Payment Information step, select “Purchase Order”.
  5. 5. Add a PO Number and upload a PDF of your PO (required).
  6. 6. Review your order. If everything is correct, click the "Place Order" button to submit your order.

Option 2

Ordering with a PO via Email (3-5 business day processing time)

To place a Purchase Order via Email, send your PO to (sales@vexrobotics.com) or Fax (214-722-1284) us a copy of your PO and quote (if you’ve created one). To place a Purchase Order via Email, send your PO to (casales@vexrobotics.com) or Fax (905-492-2638) us a copy of your PO and quote (if you’ve created one). To place a Purchase Order via Email, send your PO to (auinfo@vex.com) or Fax (61 08 8326 1888) us a copy of your PO and quote (if you’ve created one).

You can send a blanket Purchase Order or a Purchase Order that references a quote. (See "Generating Quotes" above.) Send us your quote number at the time of the Purchase Order, and ensure that the Purchase Order does one of the following:

  1. 1. Includes an estimated shipping cost, or adds an estimated 10% of your order as Shipping.
  2. 2. Specifies that the shipping costs can be added by VEX Robotics to the total amount listed on the Purchase Order.

Without one of these options, we cannot process the PO.

Note: PO's cannot contain a Ship To address that is a PO Box (unless a street address is also listed).

  1. 1. Submit your information to taxforms@vex.com.
  2. 2. Processing takes about 48 hours.
  3. 3. You will receive an Email when the tax exempt status has been approved.

To process a return, repair, or replacement of your VEX products, you will first need to email your completed RMA Form to support@vex.com. This form contains all fields that are required to process your RMA, as well as all of our return policies and procedures listed on the second tab. After you receive an RMA number, please print out the completed form and mail it back to us along with the product that needs to be returned, repaired, or replaced. Please be sure to include a list of the issues associated with each item being sent back. Customers are responsible for the cost of reshipping the item(s).

All programming software and digital curriculum purchases are non-refundable.

There is a $50 USD repair fee, including applicable sales tax, on Out of Warranty products. VEX Robotics Inc. reserves the right to not repair any Out of Warranty products. The term "Out of Warranty" applies to products whose warranty period has expired or products whose failure was caused by factors other than defects in manufacturing, materials, or workmanship. Please note that depending on the circumstances, Out of Warranty products may not be returned to their exact original specifications or dimensions.

Note: Returns for credit are accepted for a period of three (3) months from the date of shipment, and are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Ordering Policies

Orders of in stock products placed before 3:00 PM Central will ship on the same business day.

Orders of in stock products placed before 3:00 PM Eastern will ship on the same business day.

Orders of in stock products placed before 4:00 PM GMT will ship on the same business day.

Orders placed after 3:00 p.m. Central, on weekends, or on holidays will be processed on the next business day.

Online ordering is provided for convenience and for evaluation of our products. Large orders may require special shipping considerations and must be pre-arranged over the phone. Failure to do so will result in a delay of shipment as VEX will need to notify the customer of additional shipping fees.

We ship products via FedEx. Freight, lift gate, and palletized shipping considerations can be arranged in advance of your order. Please note any special considerations on your Purchase Order and add the applicable cost of shipment, or contact our Customer Support Team for more information.

We ship products via Purolator. Freight, lift gate, and palletized shipping considerations can be arranged in advance of your order. Please note any special considerations on your Purchase Order and add the applicable cost of shipment, or contact our Customer Support Team for more information.

We ship products via UPS. Freight, tail lift, and palletised shipping considerations can be arranged in advance of your order. Please note any special considerations on your Purchase Order and add the applicable cost of shipment, or contact our Customer Support Team for more information.

We offer FedEx international shipping rates. We also offer shipping from our international offices – please see our reseller network below.

Credit Card Payment is processed via PayPal. They accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for online orders.

VEX Robotics retains the right to reject any purchase order.

Note: Please note that any local sales tax, tariff, duty is payable by the recipient.

VEX Robotics, Inc. warrants our products to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship for a period of three (3) months from the date of shipment.

This warranty covers normal use as described in the product manual and within the limits as specified in any applicable data sheets.

This warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, incorrect wiring, alterations, connector damage, or robot competition damage.

Claims for shipping shortages, errors, or defective materials must be in writing and received by VEX Robotics, Inc. within ten (10) days after receipt of shipment by buyer.

Failure to make such claim within the stated period shall constitute an irrevocable acceptance of the goods and an admission that the goods fully comply with all the terms and conditions of the buyer's order.
