The Game
The VEX AIR Drone Competition game is played on a 12 ft by 12 ft field of foam tiles surrounded by 1 ft wide border tiles that define the boundaries.
One alliance, made up of two teams, competes in matches to earn the highest score possible by navigating obstacles, retrieving game objects, and placing them in scoring structures around the field.
The Details
There are twenty Orbit Balls and eighteen Cargo objects on the field in various locations. Some begin on rail structures, while others begin on the floor.
Scoring structures include one Drop Zone, two Pole Goals, two Drop Towers, two Cargo Platforms, and one Ring Tunnel.
The field also includes two Field Platforms. Full point-scoring details are available in the Game Manual.
